What is Discovery and Design?
Discovery and Design is often the first phase of an engagement with The Highland Group. A proprietary process within The Highland Group, it utilizes our visual mapping techniques and is the process by which the following deliverables are achieved:
· A High-Level Design of the Future-State describing how the company will operate to achieve the Driver Goal
· Assessment of the attainability of the Driver Goal
· Discovery of the current-state barriers to achieving the Driver Goal
· Development of an Implementation Roadmap defining in detail the change implementation project
· Quantification of the Business Case to support the change, including investments and benefits
Leadership Alignment
The most important activity during the Discovery and Design is the practice of involvement, pre-presents and agreement with the leadership of our clients. Every step-of-the-way the individuals responsible for managing the company participate and review the results of the Discovery and Design. This ensures agreement and alignment at the conclusion of the Discovery and Design phase which are essential to proceed successfully into the change implementation.
