Larry has over 35 years industry and consulting experience. His experience includes business analysis, supply chain optimization, business process redesign, cycle time reduction, Lean enterprise, PMO design and implementation, creation and establishment of planning and control systems, and implementation of best practices and continuous process improvement programs. In his years of professional management consulting he has worked for companies throughout North America, Europe, the Pacific Rim and Asia. Ten of his consulting years were spent living and working overseas.

Larry earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the University of Delaware. He is APIC certified CPIM (Atlanta Chapter), and he is a member of QSA (American Society for Quality), and a member of LEI (Lean Enterprise Institute).

Some of his selected accomplishments include:

  • Automotive Parts Supplier (USA): Managed project for improving throughput and supply chain cost structures. Increased throughput by 27%, purified MRP planning standards, designed planning and supply response process for factory planning and outsourced manufacturing, created new forecasting and long term planning tool, increased labor productivity by 32%, and reduced material shortages by 85%.
  • Rail Car Company (Canada): Managed strategy and implementation project for redesign of supply chain for procurement and manufacturing, including master production scheduling process redesign, material supply planning and outsourcing, design engineering value analysis and reliability, facility and equipment layout, manufacturing methods and technology upgrades, fabrication and assembly Lean productivity and quality. Reduced end-to-end cycle time 34%, reduced total inventory 23%, reduced parts shortages by 87%, increased labor productivity 60% and doubled weekly rail car throughput.
  • Steel Fabrication Company (Japan): Managed project for cycle time compression and capacity utilization. Established equipment run rates, operation standards and RCCP composite standards. Implemented maintenance delay reduction program and planned outage system. Reduced cycle time 22%, purified engineering BOM’s and routings accuracy, improved production schedule predictability 45%, decreased unscheduled maintenance downtime 67%, increased labor productivity 23%.
  • Global Computer Hardware Company (USA): Managed project from strategy concept through design and implementation of Build-to-Order and Configure-to-Order, from order acquisition through delivery process. Created original LEAN design of component acquisition and final assembly processes and creation of operations and planning systems. Reduced original order to delivery cycle from 4-6 weeks to 24-72 hours and total system inventory by 73% compared to traditional business model.
