Kari has over 20 years of industry and consulting experience in the US, Europe and Australia. She has extensive experience in manufacturing and profit improvement using a variety of techniques including supply chain management, team-based problem solving and business process reengineering. She also has substantial training and experience in enterprise-wide change management.
Kari has worked on and led a variety of consulting projects in petrochemicals, mining, automotive, paper, financial services, consumer products and food manufacturing. She has worked with startups, privately held companies and large multinationals.
Select accomplishments include:
- Manufacturing: Developed detailed project implementation plan for a fast-track R&D and new product introduction in order to meet market introduction schedule. Implementation of manufacturing and sourcing in US and Asia (Taiwan). Extension of engagement included detailed work in Information Technology to simplify transactions and design a true demand "pull" system. Further work in the Quality Stream included developing detailed planning to ensure new suppliers are properly qualified.
- Manufacturing: Subject Matter Expert/Lead for manufacturing consolidation (6 into 3 locations), Reorganized and directed work on the manucturing consolidation portion of the project.
- Mining: Project Lead for development of statistical and metallurgical planning models for production and inventory management. Re-designed production planning department, tools, routines, etc. Built tools for Mill, Smelter, Matte Processing, Refining and Packaging. Developed S&OP process and worked with Marketing to integrate planning routines.
